Admission Process: Step by Step

At ISAD, we believe that the admission process should be transparent and straightforward, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: your passion for design. The first step is to prepare your application documents. For all programs, you will need to submit a completed application form, a copy of your identity document, and a curriculum vitae. Depending on the course, additional materials such as a portfolio, a motivational letter, or proof of language proficiency may be required. Once your documents are ready, send them via email to . Our admissions team will review your submission and contact you within a few working days to schedule an interview, if necessary.

The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you better, understand your aspirations, and ensure that the program aligns with your goals. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions about the curriculum, facilities, or student life. After the interview, you will receive a formal admission decision. If accepted, you will be guided through the enrollment process, which includes signing the enrollment agreement and paying the tuition fee. We recommend applying early, as places are limited and admissions are processed on a rolling basis.

Required Documents for Each Program

To help you prepare your application, here is a detailed list of the documents required for each type of course. Please note that all documents must be submitted in PDF format, and any documents not in Italian or English must be accompanied by a certified translation.

• European Bachelor in Interior Design: Completed application form, copy of a valid ID or passport, high school diploma or equivalent, CV, portfolio (max 10 pages, PDF), motivational letter (max 500 words), and proof of English or Italian proficiency (B1 level or higher).
• Master programs: Completed application form, copy of a valid ID or passport, bachelor's degree certificate or equivalent, CV, portfolio (max 15 pages, PDF), motivational letter (max 700 words), and two letters of recommendation. For non-native speakers, proof of English or Italian proficiency (B2 level or higher) is required.
• Workshops and Computer Design Courses: Completed application form, copy of a valid ID or passport, and a brief CV. A portfolio is optional but recommended for advanced workshops.
• Summer Courses: Completed application form, copy of a valid ID or passport, and a short statement of interest (max 200 words). No portfolio is required. Applications must be received by June 22.

Tuition Fees and Payment Options

ISAD welcomes students from all over the world, and we are committed to making your transition to Milan as smooth as possible. If you are a non-EU student, you may need to apply for a student visa. We recommend starting the visa application process as soon as you receive your admission letter, as it can take several weeks. Our admissions team can provide you with the necessary documentation, including an official enrollment certificate and a letter of acceptance, to support your visa application.

Once in Milan, you will need to apply for a residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) within eight days of arrival. We also organize orientation sessions at the beginning of each academic year to help international students settle in and meet their peers.

• Can I apply to multiple programs? Yes, you may apply to more than one program, but you will need to submit a separate application for each. Please note that if you are accepted to multiple programs, you can only enroll in one at a time due to scheduling conflicts.
