E.A.B.H.E.S. courses values
ISAD degrees in Interior Design, Yacht Design and Garden Design are recognized and approved by E.A.B.H.E.S. (European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools) and accredits them as European Bachelor of Science in Design and European Master of Science in Design, introducing the system of capitalization of credits. Belong to E.A.B.H.E.S. European Institutes of high quality standards, certified for the excellence of their training.
Master and Bachelor degrees were originally North Americans diplomas, actually worldwide used and recently introduced in Europe. In order to obtain a qualification of this sort, students must accumulate credits; a credit is a tool which evaluates the work students have done and the skills they have acquired.
The Bachelor is an European Degree with 180 ECTS credits.
To access three-year it is necessary to have an High School diploma with a minimun of 12 years of studies. To partecipate at the first year it isn't required any entrance exam.
Master Degrees are open to students who already have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent diploma. They last one year (1st level Master Degree – 60 ECTS credits).
At the end of the studies, non-native English speakers are required to take a test of English as a Foreign Language with minimum level B2 for Bachelor and C1 for Master of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Students, who do not have the English Language Certificate, may take the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), because a minimum score of 650/990 is required at the Bachelor's level and 750/990 at the Master's level.
ONLY FOR BACHELOR'S STUDENTS
Non-native Italian speakers, at the end of the Bachelor course, are required to take a test of Italian, to certify their comprehension during classes.
1 – Course validation
Students enrolled study a certain number of subjects per year and each one of these subjects allows them to earn a certain number of credits.
At the end of the academic year, the total number of credits earned is added up and recorded on student's Transcript.
By the end of their studies, students will be earned the majority of credits required for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Only a few more credits will be needed to validate the qualifications.
2 – Additional credits, two categories
Mandatory English Language credits (12 ECTS credits)
Required credits are obtained reaching a minimum level B2 for Bachelor and C1 for the Master, of the Common European Framework reference for Languages (CEFRL).
Extra credits (to present along with the related documents)
- any other foreign language diploma, minimum level B2 of the CEFRL: 12 ECTS credits
- participation in an external contest: 1.5 ECTS credits
- participation in an exhibition, fashon show or presentation: 1.5 ECTS credits
- prize in an external contest: 3 ECTS credits
- participation in a humanitarian project: 1.5 to 3 ECTS credits
- additional professional internship:
- 1.5 ECTS credits every 2 weeks (indivisible) spent in the country of study or origin (maximum of 6 ECTS credits)
- 3 ECTS credits every 2 weeks (indivisible) spent abroad, not in native language (maximum of 12 ECTS credits)
